Well, Today marks Tommy’s 5th Birthday, His second one in Heaven.
On Wednesday 31st August 2011 at 12.31am a precious little boy made a speedy arrival into this world, he didn’t want to hang around. He weighed 7 pound 1 ounce and he was perfect in every way. He had a full head of jet black hair. Jokingly his daddy turned to me and said ‘Is there something you need to tell me’ lol. He was defiantly his mummy’s double and every one comments how much he looks like me. I look at photos of his big brother Matt at that age and Tommy was also his double too, so I did something right, two beautiful boys.
Little did we know then he was only borrowed to us, little did we know that 3 years, 4 months, 14 days, 12 hours and 4 minutes later we would lose our special little man to a horrendous disease, a disease that we found out afterwards a vaccine was available for. A vaccine that could have saved his life.
So Today as we celebrate Tommy’s 5th Birthday, in the only way we can these days. By making his garden look pretty and I’m sure you will agree, every passer-by will know that it’s his Birthday Today. We will celebrate his short, but precious little life. As long as we have breath in our bodies we will always keep his memory alive.
