Our Return to the Hospice

Today we went back to the hospice to hand over all the donations from Tommy's Funeral. This was a day of mixed emotions but a very comforting feeling that this is where we had spent some beautiful time with our Little Man, Tommy. We were met by Lisa, Jo and Jayne as well as a few others people who our paths had crossed. Just to Explain about these amazing people a little. Lisa is doing a fantastic Job helping us with the events we have going on and Jayne & Jo are the ones we spent a lot of time with during our stay at the Hospice. Jo was one of the first people we met when we arrived at the hospice and when Tommy Left she was also there to comfort us before leaving for our journey home together without Tommy, as well as these special moments she also took us to register Tommy's death at the Registry office. Jayne was on the Night shifts when it was mainly just Mummy & Tommy, The quite times who listened endlessly to Mummy talking about Tommy as she does and the moments when Mummy 1st woke up and realise that it wasn't a terrible dream and that it was the dreadful nightmare she had been living. Jo & Jayne also came to Tommy's Funeral Service but we didn't get to speak to them as they were only at the Church. So Today it was really nice to see them both and to thank them in person for everything they have done for us, as we really couldn't have got through this without their support and this may sound cheesy but it feels that they have now become part of our Extended Family that has grown beyond belief from the loss of our Little Tommy. We have discussed all the events we have coming up and we brought back an array of Items to sell off at all our events to raise even more money for this amazing place. The generosity from everyone at this very sad time has been over whelming, as Many of you have already possibly seen the Donation from Tommy's Funeral alone was £1426.94. People we do not know have been touched by our story and donated to Tommy's Page. As it stands as I write this story with the Donations on line we are currently sitting at £1666.94. I think with the future events we have planned we will raise a lot of Money for this worthy cause. My aim is to make everyone I know aware of The Donna Louise Hospice and the great work they do as well as keeping the Memories of our Little Tommy alive. Everyone should have the chance to spend the time with their loved one as we did but unfortunately without places like these and the generous donations form people like you to keep the places open people don't get this precious chance. So it is with Sincere Thanks I send this message to you all, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts xxxx
